When you experience the quality of Suncoast products, we think you’ll see why Suncoast Furniture is designed for comfort and durability. Every Suncoast frame is prepared using our exclusive Platinum Bond™ finish process consisting of two complete coatings of polyester powder. This finish will not rust or peel and is warranted for 3 years residential use. Platinum Bond™ is three times thicker than paint and more durable. Suncoast uses two fiberglass springs attached to an aluminum mechanism to provide a smooth rocking motion. Aluminum doesn’t rust. Additionally, Suncoast uses only stainless steel nuts and bolts where movement is desired, as in chaise lounges and gliders. Stainless steel will never rust or become wobbly like other soft metal fasteners.
Suncoast Furniture’s wide range of colors and fabrics allow you to customize your furniture, to complement your home decor. See your nearest authorized Suncoast dealer to view our complete selection of frames and fabrics. Suncoast uses 11 straps on the high back chair – the most in the industry. Suncoast uses 2 inch wide x 1/8 inch thick, 100% virgin vinyl straps with added ultraviolet stabilizers and mildew inhibitors. This means longer lasting colors and greater mildew resistance.

In February 1982, P.C. “Paul” and Raj Varshney bought a small, virtually unknown, company named Suncoast Aluminum Furniture Manufacturing. Suncoast started its operations on February 21, 1983, in a 1,500 square foot rented building in Fort Myers, Florida, with one part time employee.
Beginning with only a few furniture collections and a liquid paint finish process, the Varshneys built the Suncoast name. In 1989, a new 16,250 square foot plant was constructed and an advanced, conveyorized powder coat finishing line replaced the old liquid paint technique. Several new collections in propriety extrusions were added. In 1990, following his college graduation, Rajiv Varshney joined his parents in the day to day operations of Suncoast, thus ensuring continuity of the family’s business philosophy. Suncoast’s business flourished and in 1992, another 31,250 square foot expansion took place. In 1999, a third expansion was completed, adding an additional 29,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Suncoast’s fourth expansion of 62,500 square feet was completed in April 2003. With the addition of new offices, a new state-of-the-art finishing line, and a total of 139,000 square feet of operational capacity, Suncoast’s manufacturing capabilities are expected to quadruple its previous capacity. Suncoast has grown steadily and currently employs more than 100 dedicated craftspeople and office personnel, some who have been with the company for 15 years. Today, Suncoast remains a family owned and operated, customer oriented business.
In 1994, Suncoast secured a permanent showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, Illinois. Suncoast has been a leader of design in the casual furniture industry, winning two highly recognized industry awards. In 1997, the “Radiance” collection garnered the prestigious DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARD and in 2001, the “South Beach” collection won the DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARD in the cast and extruded aluminum combination category. Three new groups have been added for 2002-2003, giving Suncoast a total of 20 sling, cushion and strap collections.
The Varshney’s dedication to quality has enabled Suncoast to grow. Always anxious to provide individual attention to their customers, the Varshney’s hands-on approach to their business keeps them available to their customers at any time. From the initial design, to the cutting, bending, and finishing of the tables, chairs and accessories, pride and commitment to quality are the hallmark of their business.
